At Expressions Dance, our team is made up of highly experienced, qualified & dedicated instructors who share a passion for dance & teaching. Each member of our team brings a unique set of skills & experiences to the studio, & is committed to helping our students develop & refine their dance skills & achieve their goals.

Rachelle Flamand
Expressions Dance
Director & Instructor
Rachelle is a gentle soul
who loves working with children, teens, & adults alike to develop their skill
& build confidence on the
dance floor, no matter if
it is the dancers 1st time
or their 100th time!
Rachelle's training began
by taking her 1st steps in ballet shoes when she was
3 years old.
She continued to train in classical ballet studying Cecchetti, Vaganova, ISTD & the RAD syllabus up to Advanced 1,
as well as teacher training courses.
She also trained in:
Acting, Theatre,
Lyrical,
Contemporary,
Jazz (Adapt Syllabus),
Tap (Al Gilbert &
Brian Foley Styles),
Hip Hop (Street, Stomp, Freestyle, Breakdance, &
Country & other Social Dancing.
Flagging & dancing with
cloths & ribbons are also
some things she enjoyed
learning & incorporates
into many genres of dance.
Rachelle had the amazing opportunity to dance professionally for many
years as Co-Director & Coordinator for the
Worship Arts Team at CJIL TV
(an International Christian Television Station that broadcast worldwide),
working with a team of amazing dancers &
musicians to create specials for & perform at global events,
lead worship dance services
choreographed dances for & worship danced at
Christian Conferences of audiences 1500+,
created specials & danced
for TV broadcasts,
as well as lead workshops
& performances for many community, church,
conference, & global events
incorporating lyrical, contemporary, theatre & the use of flags, cloths, & ribbons.
Dancing & acting have
always gone hand in hand
for Rachelle...she loves
creating stories through
dance & has written & produced plays.

Sasha Malmo
Expressions Dance
Director, Competitive Director & Instructor
Sasha started her journey in dance at the tender age
of 2. From classroom to stage her love & passion for dance continued to grow throughout the years & then transitioned into sharing her passion teaching others.
Through the years Sasha trained in classical ballet from beginner to advanced
in the Ceccehetti, Vaganova, ISTD, & RAD syllabus.
Jazz (Dance Labs (foundational to elite: jumps, turns, floor work & Adapt & Core syllabus).
Tap (Al Gilbert &
Brian Foley Syllabus).
Hip Hop (Street, Stomp, Freestyle, Pop & Lock,
& Breakdance)
Lyrical,
Contemporary,
Acro with Acrobatic Arts.
Whether competing or performing, Sasha loved
to be on the stage!
One highlight includes winning the competitions high mark award.
For years Sasha danced professionally for an international TV station that broadcast worldwide.
As one of the CoDirectors & Coordinators of this dance team Sasha created specials for & performed at global events, created specials for conferences & TV broadcasts,
hosted workshops,
choreographed & worship danced for Christian Conferences of audiences 1500+ incorporating contemporary, lyrical, theatre, flags, clothes, & ribbons.
In addition to dance, Sasha was a high level competitive figure skater competing nation wide. Training 8 hours a day
she advanced though the levels & completed all gold skating & diamond dance exams.
Sasha's training & certifications include:
Personal training (PT) with the Canadian Fitness Professionals (CanFitPro).
A Nutrition degree
Certified in Sports
Injury Recovery
Certified as a Technical Turns & Jumps Specialist.
Many Dance Labs Clinics
Certified Level 2 Provincial Figure
Skating Coach
Sasha continues to inspire her students to pursue
their passion for dance &
be the best they can be.

Hannah Anderson
Expressions Dance Instructor
Hannah danced with Expressions Dance ever since she was 2 years old.
Hannah has taken dance classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, hip hop, house, tap, theatre, & acro.
She has completed RAD ballet exams up to the Intermediate level,
is certified in Acro with Acrobatic Arts (levels 1
to 6), & has attended workshops & trained with teachers across Canada.
Hannah dreamed of being
a dance teacher for as
long as she can remember. She started doing student choreography solos & competing with them, subbed for different classes, & transitioned to teaching her own classes.
Hannah is beyond excited & grateful to share her love for dance in this way.
