Preschool Dance (2 - 4 years)
Ready to introduce your child to the joy of dance?
Preschoolers are full of energy, imagination, & curiosity. Preschool Dance channels that excitement into a fun, enriching experience that supports development & introduces young children to dance through imaginative play, games, props, & interactive music created & chosen especially for those in the class.
Preschool classes provide a solid foundation for future dance training.
Ballet
Ballet is a style of timeless elegance & artistic expression that
has captivated audiences for generations. Baller incorporates highly structured
steps & movements that create a graceful flow with precision, strength, & poise.
Ballet is the foundation of all other genres of dance.
Expressions Dance teaches ballet according to the Vaganova syllabus.
Pointe
Pointe involves dancers performing ballet on the tips of their toes in specially designed shoes. Because pointe technique requires dancers to support their full wight on extended feet & pointed toes, dancers must exhibit strong technique & proper alignment of the feet, ankles, & knees before progressing to pointe work. Thus dancers taking pointe must have approval from the Directors.
Lyrical
Lyrical dance is a style that combines elements of ballet, jazz, acro, & modern,
performed to music with lyrics. It focuses on expressing strong emotions &
story telling through fluid graceful movements while interpreting the song's lyrics.
Contemporary
Contemporary dance blends elements from various dance styles to convey
an expression of raw, often intense emotion with abstract storytelling through
dynamic movement. This genre explores the unpredictable changes in rhythm,
speed, & direction, incorporating floor work, fall & recovery, & improvisation.
Emotion is at the heart of every movement.

It features dynamic movements like isolations, grooves, & free style elements
performed to upbeat music. Classes focus on rhythm, musicality, personal
expression, & performance quality while teaching foundational techniques &
the latest trends: Breakdance, Stomp, & Pop & Lock to name a few.
Tap
Tap is all about creating music & rhythm while you dance.
Tap uses the sounds from metal plates on the bottom of the shoes
striking the floor to create infinite possibilities of sound & movement together.
Expressions Dance follows the Adapt curriculum.
Musical Theatre
Step into the spotlight with our exciting theatre classes!
Theatre is all about storytelling & making those stories come to life
through the development of dance, movement, & expressive performance presentation.

Acro Dance
Acro Dance combines classical dance technique with acrobatic elements
to create an athletic fusion of artistry, flexibility, strength, & balance.
