Our story began in 2008. We were teaching dance to kids at our church, and the idea was sparked to begin the journey as a studio out in the community.

There were many aspirations we had for the studio, and many of them initially started based on our own dance experiences growing up.
We grew up in a close-knit dance community. Our dance teacher and fellow classmates became like a second family to us. We wanted to create a similar atmosphere for Expressions Dance. One where dancers and their families didn't just feel like students and clients, but part of a big family! An atmosphere where dancers could build connection, develop confidence, and grow in their own unique expression and passion for dance! A place where we can help them develop their skills and technique to take them to new heights and reach their highest goals for dance, whether that be to perform professionally,  become a dance instructor,  or just dance for the pure enjoyment of it.
Our goal is to help each dancer accomplish their goals in a positive, safe, wholesome, professional environment, where they can grow into amazing individuals - both on and off the dance floor!

We wanted a studio where children could dance to clean, wholesome music, wear age appropriate costumes, and still look like kids onstage in their numbers.

From the tiny preschooler who is finding first position for the first time, to the dancer performing their first solo, or landing their first aerial, dance has always been an amazing creative outlet with so many varied opportunities and experiences to share! And we're so grateful that we get to experience and celebrate those moments with our students every day!
