Rachelle Flamand

Studio Director / Instructor

Rachelle is a gentle soul who loves working with children and adults alike to develop their skills and build confidence on the dance floor, no matter if it's the dancer's first time or their hundredth time!

She has been teaching children to dance and act for nearly 20 years!

Rachelle's own training began by taking her first steps in ballet shoes when she was three years old, and she continued to train in classical ballet for over 22 years, studying Cecchetti, Vaganova, RAD, and ISTD methods, up to the Advanced 1 Level in RAD. She also added acting, lyrical, jazz, tap (Al Gilbert & Brian Foley styles), hip hop, street stomp, and country social dancing to her repertoire. Flagging and dancing with cloths and ribbons was also something she enjoyed learning and incorporating into many genres of dance.

After graduating high school, she continued her dance training and also added teacher training courses with the Royal Academy of Dance.

Rachelle had the amazing opportunity to be a co-director and coordinator for the worship arts team at CJIL TV (An international Christian television station) for many years, working with a team of amazing dancers and musicians to lead worship services for conferences, create specials for TV broadcasts, as well as lead workshops and performances for many community and church events.

Dancing and acting have always gone hand in hand for Rachelle, and she loves creating stories told through dance. She took various acting classes, and wrote and produced a Christmas play for her church when she was 16. Her other passions include animals, hiking, reading, writing, volunteering with youth groups and summer camps, and spending time with her husband and family.
